A year ago today at 9:53 am, I gave birth to my tiny, (8 pound 4 ounce!) beautiful baby girl.
Georgia Grace, we are so thankful for the day we got to meet you! And every day since. Your daddy and I love seeing the world through your eyes. You make each day sweeter and sweeter and we love you to the moon. Your laugh can bring the grumpiest of trolls to a smile and your smile makes my heart skip a beat. You have opinions these days and you aren't afraid to show them. I love the sense of wild and free that you embody and I pray that Jesus gives me the ability to foster your strengths and encourage your weaknesses. You are our outgoing little "firecracker," which makes daddy and I laugh every day being that we were both reserved and shy. Hold on to your fire. Hold on to that inner joy baby girl. We love that you have already grabbed life by the neck and are riding high. Today is so bittersweet for us sweet girl. Mostly sweet but a tad bitter because the past year has truly been the best. The hardest. But oh the best. Snuggles that I will cling to forever. Your first smile, your first laugh, your first word. All of those things give me strength to be better. Words cannot express how much we love you Georgia Grace. I can't wait to celebrate this day with you and your daddy and your grandparents.
Happy Birthday Gigi! Now off to bang on the big drum at Kidnermusik!
** I took G's one year pictures but in the midst of celebrating her birthweek, I haven't had a chance to finish the post. Look for it later this week/early next week! **
